The first records we hold of the Augustowski/Augotoski/Williams/Angus family coming to England is 1859.
We know that they anglasied the name to Augotoski however have no idea where the names Williams or Angus originated.
We have found that some of the family members used 'Williams'and 'Angus" on official documentation such as Census Records and the Electoral Roll.
We have also found many variations of the spelling of the surname, we assume these are clerical errors.

I have shown on each individual's page the name given on their vital records, i.e. birth, marriage and death certificates.

My direct family line continued to use the name Augotoski anglicized from Augustowski.
Wiliam Francis' line changed their surname to Williams when he re-married in 1909.
Henry Joseph's line used the surname Angus on the 1901 cenus and continued to use this name.

Listed below are the children of Jozef and Marianna followed by their individual marriages and children.

Jozef Augustowski / Augotoski married Marianna Augustowski / Augotoski Sierpinska

A Richard Augustowsky has been found registering the birth of his daughter Jane Augustowsky in 1887.
Possibly related to Kazimierz, William Francis and Henry Joseph although to date no further information can be found.

We have also found on both the 1881 and 1901 British census returns a list of Williams’ born in Poland
and are guessing that they are related to our family in some way, these will be added to the site shortly.
